Seem to have leveled off at a pound a week the last couple weeks. Much better than gaining a pound a week. The best part is, I am happy. I am to the point I eat what I want, not what I think I should eat. I eat till I'm satisfied and don't over do it. Guess what Mom? I don't have to be a member of the clean plate club any more either. That is still probably the hardest part though. Those starving little kids in Africa still get to me. Still strength training three days a week and trying to do at least 30-40 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week. I have been slacking on that a bit the last couple week. No great feats or revolutions to speak of for this week. Just sticking to living life on life's terms for the time being. Keep on keepin' on.

Nothing Lost Nothing Gained
Same weight as I was last week at this time. Stuck at 238.2 pounds. However, I did discover one of the perk of losing weight and getting healthy this weekend. I went and bought me some new clothing this weekend and I didn't have to pay that extra $2.00 for the big mens clothing. Ya got to yeehaw. So now I have an extra $2.00 to spend on healthy food or the gym membership. I did accomplish a nice other little task this weekend too. I took one of my longest walks so far. Walked 5 miles in 75 minutes. A average 15 minute mile consistently for the whole 5 miles. I was very pleased about that. Anyway keeping positive, keeping on track and keepin' on.

One Pound lost is One Pound lost
Yep that's all I lost this week. But it's much better than gaining a pound. I've had weeks like that before and it's ok. I just like it when the workouts seem to get easier. Yesterday's workout just seemed a lot easier than some. Some days are harder than others to workout. I need to take new body measurements this weekend. It's been about 5 weeks now since I have measured. So I am now down to 238 pounds and well on the road to my goal of under 200. Keep on keepin' on.

ONLY 40 POUNDS TO GO!!!!
Ya got to yee haw. I lost six pounds this past week. Been so busy the last two days I haven't had time to update everyone. However, it was a pretty good week overall. We took the whole family camping last weekend and everyone had a great time. Didn't catch many trout but enough to have a feed Sunday before we left the campground. We took a hike on Saturday afternoon with the whole family. It was the highlight of my weekend. I carried my 37 pound granddaughter on my shoulders more than half of the 2 miles we hiked. About at least a 10th of a mile of that or more was up a hill at about a 15-20% incline. I didn't just walk it either, I jogged about half of it, with an extra 37 pounds. Who'd a thunk it? Three months ago I never would have dreamed anything like that would have even been possible. All is going well and I am still on track. I have kind of stopped keeping track of my calories but I still make sure I eat was is right and only until I am satisfied. No overeating, no binging, no junk food. It's all good here. So keep on keepin' on.

Down three or four pounds this week.
I guess it depends on how you look at it. I weighed in at 245 pounds this morning, which is 4 pounds down from last week. But I gained a pound last week so I am down 3 pounds from the week before. Wow, sounds too confusing even for me. Anyway, Now it's the end of the month and I've calculated my walking mileage to be 53.62 miles for the month of April. I'm ready for the warm weather so I can get outside and start walking and camping. Going to make our first campout of the year this coming weekend at Siloam Springs to do some trout fishing, it's opening weekend. I was pondering some questions in my mind this morning, Is society more accepting of overeating or smoking? I would tend to think they are more accepting of overeating. However, if I rephrase the question and ask, Is society more excepting of smoking or morbidly obese people? I'm not sure what the answer would be. Hmm...things that make you go hmmmm.....I ponder this question because I have been both, morbidly obese and a smoker. Now I am no longer a smoker and I am only obese, no longer morbidly obese. Working on HEALTHY!!!
